Yeah but in canada you also have to wait a year before you can see a doctor, am I wrong?
do you have to be a naturalized citizen of Canada to receive these benefits? [e giggleyup your wrong.
most canadians have a GP/Family Doctor. for whatever the reason i can think of i can call her office up tomorrow and see her in 2-3 days. and if she is away i can go to a walk in clinic, and hell if its after 9pm i can just go to the ER. all FREE.
and yes wait times in ER'S may be higher up here but it all depends on what is wrong with you, most people that go to emerge are not dying or in dire need of medical attention, they usually wait 3-4 hours to see a doctor, more serious stuff you go right in. few years back i fucked my knee up playing hockey and a doctor saw me within 20 mins. had an MRI 2 weeks later. all FREE.
i know canada is some small weird country to alot of you but like most 1st world developed countries in the world if one of our citizens are sick or need their lives saved we don't send them a bill at the end of the day. i mean, what year is this. 2014 right. i guess the mighty american dollar and capitalistic greed trumps all!
blame big pharma i guess,

In Canada, is the health care system backed up financially by the tax dollars?
Also how's the taxing in US/CAN, is it a flat tax like 20% for everybody or does it depend on one's income?
Most of canadians do have not a Family doctor... it's one of the main reason why emergency and clinic are full with people with a flu or shit like that. If you are lucky enough and you have a family doctor, yes you can see a doctor really fast and pass some test, but a lot of people doesn't have this luck.
And of course if you are dying they will take care of you faster then the guys who blown of his knee.
3-4 hours to see a doctor? You mine in a real hospita? No. If you get lucky maybe but most of the time,,, if you are not dying you will wait al leat 6 hours. In a city like toronto or Montreal, youwill wait much more.
I don't know much about Quebec *[e cough seperatists!!*but on the east coast of Canada its really not an issue finding a family doctor.. A really good one that gives a fuck is kinda hard to find.. But that's the same anywhere I'd imagine.. Though like I said idk anything about how Quebec works.. Lol I barely look at it as part of Canada tbh You guys like to do your own thing.
