I was running Mondain's legacy and connecting just fine, but because it wasn't patched my client kept crashing. I uninstalled and re-installed this client. http://www.uo.com/Client-Download I changed nothing else, but now I just get the message "Couldn't connect to Ultima Online. Please try again in a few moments." Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You mean this?
If so, UO isn't connecting to the right server. Make sure "UOGamers: Hybrid" is selected in your Razor welcome screen. Alternatively, you can set it to connect to server login.uogamers.com on port 2593.
If it's not that, it could be a firewall on your end blocking the connection.

have you been able to connect yet, or are you still having the same issue?
Yes, however I can't really explain how. It was attempting to connect to Hybrid the whole time. I did this http://www.uogamers.com/community/threads/changing-automatic-client-detection.460847/, then rebooted and it worked like a charm.
