Graphics Card Issue

Last week my graphics card took a shit so I bought a new one. I made sure to buy the right model but I couldn't get it to fit. I talked to my friend who's pretty good with desktops. We tried cutting along the guide lines so it would fit in the PCI slot but for some reason it's returning an beep error code now. Do you think we adjusted it wrong?

Anyway, any advice would be appreciated.

The beeps mean your motherboard cannot detect a video card lol.

It's really best not to bother with hacks like that (unless you paid nothing for your hardware lol) grab a $20 old crusty pc from a local thrift store hah should runuo just fine.
