Basics of 'Loot types'
'To be or not newbie'
ok just a basic guide on 'loot types'
First of all a loot type is the state of which an item can be looted!
all loot of hybrid falls into 3 categories
Blessed - This loot type is ALMOST always labeled along side the item name E.G Hybrid rocks (blessed) to memory the only items that do not label these tags are Various Deeded items and spell/Rune books
Blessed items will NOT drop when you die, so-long as they are being worn or inside of your main backpack (bagging items will cause them to drop inside the bag they have been bagged in!) BLESSED ITEMS CAN STILL BREAK although they will stay alongside you in death whilst being worn anything giving Armour/being a weapon (acceptation of reward cloaks and robes) still has the breaking attribute!
Newbiefied - Most commonly found when you start a new character, almost all items in your backpack will be newbied (not gold and reagents ect). GM Handouts are also not uncommon to be Newbiefied
Newbied items hold similar properties to Blessed items BUT only for blue and criminal players, Red players cannot keep ahold of newbied items!
Standard items - these hold no maintaining values when you die they CAN and WILL be looted
Stealing-blessed and newbied items follow similar rules when being stolen as when being looted. Basically if it can be looted it can be stolen!
Happy hybrid'ing hope its helpful to new players!
