All Kill And All Guard

why is there a huge delay while saying All kill with a pet before attacking the enemy but when i get flag and say all guard the pet is attacking the enemy right away

why is there a huge delay while saying All kill with a pet before attacking the enemy but when i get flag and say all guard the pet is attacking the enemy right away

all guard = target is already acquired and ready to be attacked.
all kill = pet needs to actually acquire the target after your command.

But there's probably more to it than this.
