ups i didnt see that post, but this script also makes either Dex or Int to loose 10 points (depending on which of the two is the highest).
And has the correct hue.

I think the real problem is the era
I know the +10 to strength and -10 to the other 2 stats were still around during Age Of Shadows and SE
I just don't know nor can I find a change to the helm that made it +10 to strength and -10 to only 1 of the other 2 stats

When you equip the helmet it should remove either dex or int property on the helmet (as can be seen on the pictures), i have verified this during aos. But if they have changed it since then i don't know.

Alright so when did the description change when you mouse over the helm?

When it is equipped the properties are changed. And changed back when unequipped.

No it's not about adding it (yet).It is a question of when did they change it to look like that
Your link is how it looked during AoS
My link is how it currently looks during SA
I am not 100% sure but I think it is a change done in the SA era

Well here is the new one, not sure which one to use then.
I might write it so it only uses the new prop with SA era then.

* Wrote it simpler & with less code in BaseArmor.cs.
* The new property will only be used in "Core.SA" and above.

Tested on Demise TC:

Questions:
The evil orc helm is using the -int or dex bonus property
Hopefully Demise Tc is using core SA.

Should it be dyeable with a leather dye tub?
atm it is.

Observations:
There are some unusual things happening.
When your dex is 10 you get the message "you do not have enough dexterity to equip this item."
When your int is 10 you get the message "you are not smart enough to equip that."

When both of your dex and int are between 10 and 20 you get to equip the item but only briefly so still lose karma. (see pic)

Tested and seems ok:
They cannot be cut up or enhanced.
They drop on the correct monster.
They cannot be pigmented.
The hue and item properties look ok.

I'm not 100% sure if any of this unusual behavior is because of the other orc helm patch which is on tc too or whether it not unusual at all and is like that on osi too since i dont have an osi acc.

If its not using Core.SA it will use the old properties instead so thats no problem,
but i will need someone to check how it works at osi for the unequip bug you found.
I will test it until i get more info and see what is causing it to unequip.

Just formatted my hd so it will take awhile to patch UO =)

You can enhance them on osi, crappy screen shots but I did
fail on the attempt

I just checked using my Core.ML tc and it does display the old properties with -dex -int and +str. When equiping it it only reduces the int or dex depending on which is highest and it displays correctly on mouse over.
So that bit all looks good. :)

Ps. Thanks for taking over this patch, my coding skills still arn't up to much. :eek:

Here are some things i need tested on OSI:

* Can you equip the evil orc helm with 20str? since you get +10 str and the orc helm has 30str req.

* what happens if you have less than 10 dex & 10 int, do you get 0 in one of them then?

* If you fail to equip the helmet due to strength req, do you still loose karma?
