how long should this take and how will I know when to stop the patch? please respond as I am patching RIGHT NOW........
After a fresh install the patcher can go on for ~30 minutes, because it has to download all the big files entirely. The installer no longer includes these.

It's fine to let the patcher go on until it's all finished. There is no way to stop it at a specific point anymore, and the latest client is supported by Hybrid anyway. :)

So I re-patched thinking that this would solve my issue (regent display not showing in the title bar), it did not work. I've also turned aero on and off and that did not work. Anyone have any other suggestions?

I have the same problem since patching to the latest version. The counters n the title bar are showing but no pictures.

To get the pictures in the title bar, you need the art.mul and artidx.mul files, which are encoded into the artLegacyMUL.uop file in the latest client. An easy workaround is to download an older client using one of the links in the first post, and to copy the art.mul and artidx.mul from that client into your UO folder.

A real fix requires an update to Razor, which has yet to be implemented.

I am using Sallos, I downloaded this client (as instructed per the Hybrid Knowledgebase)

Everything works, I tried to run patch.exe but it says:

Could not connect to patch server 65.216.123.58:8888
Could not connect to a patch server
Make sure you have an active connection to the Internet via an ISP or a direct connection.
Your client may not be the most recent version.
You may be able to play the game with your current client.
Check http://www.uo.com/ for help on resolving patching issues.

I changed that and it started patching, but after it downloaded the patch I got this:

Click OK to play the game or Cancel to abort.
That's usually what happens when you cancel the patch and resume without clearing the leftover patch files, or if you modify client files before patching. Either way, that version will suffice for Sallos. :)

If you want to patch again, you'll have to check out the 'patchlog' file to see if the error is anything you can fix. A client reinstall is required otherwise.

i guess i need to patch so i can see some of the new items?
My friend as well as my brother who both just came back days ago, as well as myself who somewhat recently returned have all been doing full patching and haven't had any issues on either Razor or Steam; in regards to the new xmas items.
