Because it's not a relative diagnostic tool and is beholden to other processes.

A "ping" at the operating system, ie: powershell - is a diagnostic tool. It gives you a real representation of the network connectivity between you and the host. Using ping in game includes the overhead of the application within which it's buried, thus making it an ineffective representation of the network latency.

solid ping here from Vancouver Canaduh. I am hitting 50ping average; Maybe even less. I've really noticed it's much more stable and allot less variance.

If you have issues regarding latency simply do a full trace route as per Ryan's note. You can then be proactive and contact the IP by doing a reverse IP look up if you really are as inclined to action it

ping 300+ all the time, much freezes where others keep moving but i dont, ending with disconnection. i assume this is packet loss? im down two mouses and a knuckle.
kinda funny when you think about it, this is like, _the_ freesgard, and still it has the worst connection. i could connect to a potato right now and have better ping.



edit a litle later: now im "only" getting disconnected about twice per doom round ;|

Due to recent attacks on the Hybrid server, we have moved both shards to a more secure location. The move for Demise has just completed, and we experienced about 12 minutes of downtime.

The new shard IP is 104.128.48.66 (port remains 2593), and your Razor/UOSteam should automatically connect to the new address once your DNS cache refreshes. If this takes unusually long for you, you could use the IP address manually to connect in the meantime.

The new server location is Chicago, for those wondering. Only a little move physically from the old Cincinnati location.

If you experience any issues as a result of the move, please let us know!

I'd rather see current host fixed but if not possible and a move is necessary please dont go back to Cincinnati, most brazilians have a terrible ping to that location (200ms+), Chicago is fine (160 - 180ms) and NY would be excellent (110 - 130ms).
anyways we have to be patient and hope for the best
